We had 2 B/T dogs, 4 B/T bitches, 2 Red dogs and 2 Red bitches in this litter.

Two of this litter are going to owners already having Ravenred German Pinschers - what a wonderful recommendation.  Thank you both.

Red boy Ravenred Hot Chilli,  'Chilli,' and  black/tan sister Ravenred Tellicherry, 'Cherry'' arrived safely in Adelaide 27th December.  They were met by their new owner Karen.  This morning they slept in after staying up until 10pm their first night.  Both were so excited with the freedom of their new home, also meeting 8 year old GP 'Phoebe'.  (Karen lost the litter sister last week when she escaped and was run over by a car).  Karen had forgotten about puppy habits and is now removing everything within their reach and also re-assembling a puppy pen.

PUPPIES LEAVING HOME

Wednesday Evening  22 November 2006.  5.00pm.  First to be picked up was Ravenred Sassafras, 'Boss' (B/T male) to the Cooper Family.  After my quarantine period, they visited weekly - they live locally.

"He seems to have grown heaps this week! Are you sure he is not a Rottweiler ?!!

!House training is going great, only the occasional puddle indoors, and that's usually our fault. Yesterday he had a visit from a toy Chewowa (how the hell do you spell it!). Anyway they had great fun, with Boss barging him with his bottom. Boss is twice the size but not as co-ordinated, yet!!

As we have said before, he continues to surprise us with his intelligence and quick learning.

Friday Morning  24th November 2006, Ravenred All Spice, 'Marni' (B/T Girl) is on her way to Steve in Melbourne, picked up by Jetpets at 8am this morning.  I hope that he is going to happy with my selection - only made this morning.  Am waiting on a phone call to say she has arrived safe and well.  UPDATE:   Steve just rang to say she arrived safe and well.  He found her playing with the staff at the airline freight depot!  He seems very happy with my choice.  Now the fun starts.

"She is now sleeping after eating and running around playing for an hour or 2, phewww. I shoulda made her stay up so she sleeps till morning. Was waiting for her too go to toilet but she went when she got here ate played and didn't go again, ill let her out when she wakes, ciao".

Later: "I think I'm trippin out but she is on the couch and it looks like she pretending too sleep, I got up twice went outside and she put her head up looking were I was, but it looks like she is smiling while she sleeps, maybe just me. She wouldn't stay on the dog bed on the floor but 1st night ok tomorrow no more sleeping on couch"

Justin arrived at 11am to pick up Ravenred Cinnamon, 'Bella', his red girl.  Karlene must be at work so will meet her later.  Next on their agenda was meet the CAT!!!

"Well got through the first 10 hours OK.  The little girl we have decided to call Bella now...  She's extremely playful.  She's eaten plenty of dry food, done plenty of wee's and a poo and has been semi acquainted with the territorial kitten (Smokey)... plenty of hissing went on.  I've just put Bella to sleep and will no doubt be woken up through the night?
Regards
Justin"

Update - the kitten and Bella are getting along just fine!

Saturday 25 November - 1pm  Next to leave was Ravenred Red Savina 'Kaiser".  A red boy to Maureen.  According to reports he has also settled in nicely and making himself at home :-)  When Maureen took a look at him she just stood there, really quietly.  I thought 'Oh my Gawd, she hates him'.  It was the first view of her new baby, and let me tell you, he'd going to a great home with a massive area to run around in.

"Doreen, I was waiting till Peter came back from South Australia with the camera so that I could include photo's.

We have named him Kaiser.  The first night was a bit trying but by night 3 he's sleeping right thru the night without a fuss.
We placed his bed and playpen next to the screen door leading to the deck where Offenbark sleeps and this has done the trick.
We are establishing good routines now and he is as happy as Larry.
Offenbark has been very patient with him and Kaiser just thinks Offenbark is the ants pants.
He has successfully negotiated all the gardens steps but have gated the stairs leading off the deck (high set house) but has access to ground level thru the laundry.  He seems to have got the idea that poo is an done outside but we still have the occasional puddle inside (only to be expected as there is a lot of interesting things).
He is eating well, sleeps during the hotter parts of the day and is very active morning
and evenings.  He loves going outside and thinks the garden and open areas are great.  Lots of things to poke around in.
The other morning he happily trotted off after Offenbark on his morning round of the perimeter - high step, head up and tail wagging.
We are putting a lot of work (even at this early stage) in basic obedience and he now will come when called (most the time) and is starting to sit on voice and hand signals.

Don't worry we are taking good care of him.

Regards
Maureen"

Then Aiveen and Keith turned up to pick up their B/T dog, Ravenred Star Anise.  He is joining another of our breeding,  Rhea from the Bushrangers.  His name, another Irish choice 'Finn'.  Just hope Keith doesn't get to pick the new babies name - yes the puppies are going to have an small 2 footer on the scene next year.  Finn will remain intact.

"All is going well. Rhea and Finn had lots of play time yesterday and are getting along fine.
We finally just left them to it and without our interference they get along grand.
They slept together last night in the laundry and it worked out perfect. He
didn't cry as much because he had her to keep him company.
Won't leave them together all day for a while though - just in case. Will
just keep it to playtime and bedtime for a few weeks.
Finn is gone to work with Keith and Rhea is at home in the yard".

Sunday 26 November  Next to go was Ravenred Chili Pepper, 'Roxy'.  She was picked up by Rainer's sister where she will live for a short while before flying down to Melbourne with them to meet her new family.  Rainer almost missed out on his puppy when I realised he was going away over Xmas, however she is going to be very well looked after.

Friday 1st December  Today Ravenred Tamarind -  'Jarrah' (red girl) left with David and 'Jackson' for Brisbane (AKA 'Chip').

"Last night Jarrah at last eat a decent sized meal and had a decent breakfast this morning.  Jackson still thinks every bit of food in the house is his.  Even though I put his dinner bowl down first, when he knows I'm feeding her in another part of the house barricaded off he won't eat his.  Comes down and barks at the barricade!!

First day I had to go to work today - but flexed off early.  Spent some time yesterday constructing a biggish cage for Jarrah to spend the time while I am away.  At least until I am happy she will be alright loose.  It's in the room Jackson sleeps in so he can sleep next to her but not get into her and vice versa.  The room is open to the back yard.  They were both sleeping quietly when I got home.

They really like each other which is a great relief to mejust he is a bit rough with her and she is soooooooo tiny!! But this is day 5 and he is already playing better. She is getting smarter too and finding chairs she can hide under. However Jackson, never one to baulk at a challenge,  is finding he can get under chairs he thought he never could!!!!

I clipped Jarrah's nails last night - while she fell asleep on my lap!!!  How good is that.  Now to find a way to do Jackson's.  Ho Ho Ho.

David"

Saturday 16 December - Ravenred Aniseed (B/T girl) 'Wendy' has now arrived in Perth to join David and his Weimaraner (Casper) desexed male, 11 months.  David is delighted with his bouncy little addition.  David knows the Palmiero family and their B/T dog 'Cooper'; they use the same dog park.  This is going to be interesting :-)

"Been to the vet this morning and had her vaccinations, worming and heartguard. She slept like a dream on the floor next to my bed and right next to Casper.

David"

Chilli and Cherry look to be flying to Adelaide Wednesday after Xmas.........
