GERMAN PINSCHERS

About Us

Ravenred Kennels moved to the Sunshine Coast in June 2003.  Before that we had lived and shown in NSW.

I bought my first German Pinscher, Tasha, on Christmas Day 2000.  Tasha was only a pet but did a lot to put German Pinschers here in Australia on the map.  With her column 'Tasha On Deck' in the GPC NSW Club magazine 'Pinschermania', she had quite a following and became famous worldwide.  Tasha excelled at obedience and was also a Therapy Dog for the Delta organisation, visiting a local nursing home in NSW.  There she brought joy to many.  She now lives with another retired German Pinscher 'Anja' and her family in Brisbane, Qld.

In February 2002 I bought my 2nd German Pinscher puppy.  A black and tan dog, Nellinda Hangzhou, known as Bronson.  I was extremely lucky that Bronson has proved to be an exceptional dog in the show ring, the only GP in Australia to achieve Runner Up to Best in Show - All Breeds.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank his handler Nikki Sheeran for the time and effort she put into travelling not only here but interstate to show him.

Weeacre Foxy Lady - Taylor - returned with me from Weeacre Kennels in Sydney October 2003.  I had to wait quite some time for her but she was certainly worth the wait.

Bronson was mated to AC Wiener Kindl Izba in August 2004 resulting in his first offspring, the Royal Litter, 4 beautiful puppies.  This first Ravenred litter was whelped by Weeacre Kennels in NSW who  co-own Izba with me.  November 2004 Bronson mated to Taylor with puppies born 15th January 2005 - in my bed.  Daughter Jordan was exported to Finland in June 2006.

Since then we have exported the only semen from Australia and also dogs and progeny to the US, Canada, Finland, Spain and Switzerland.  We have used semen imported from Canada with great success and have also semen from the US; this to use to our Ravenred lines.

Health testing has always been a priority since inception and we continue to support this.

In January 2009 Nikki Sheeran became a partner in Ravenred German Pinschers.  Nikki started showing my dog Bronson in 2005, eventually acquired her own Ravenred bitch and whelped her litter in 2008.  Late 2008 I asked Nikki to join this prefix and she agreed.

Nikki and I are looking forward to our association and have many plans for the future.
